HCG Completes Final Stage of International Design Competition

HCG's Sahl Hasheesh Phase III Proposal Under Consideration by Egyptian Resort Company

Cairo, Egypt / Stuart, Florida - November, 2009 - HCG, Inc., recently completed the final stage of an international design competition for a world-class 6,995 acre sustainable tourist resort destination on the Red Sea near Hurghada, Egypt. HCG, along with its Egyptian partner architects EGAM, was selected as one of three international destination design firms to prepare a detailed proposal for the project. The project's owner/developer, Egyptian Resort Company (ERC), will select a final winner of the competition by late January 2010.

In early 2007, the Egyptian Resort Company invited EGAM's President,Hussein Abu Seida, to participate in a competition to prepare a master plan for Sahl Hasheesh Phase IIII. The project is the final and largest portion of a three-part resort community development located on the Red Sea, south of Cairo and within a short drive of historic attractions in Luxor and Aswan. The project site is particularly challenging as it is separated from the Red Sea coastline by nearly a mile.

Founded in 1993, HCG is committed to designing sustainable projects that meet community needs, produce balanced growth, are financially feasible for their clients and create positive economic value for their community. HCG is experienced with the nationally known rating system LEED developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, as well as green design standards recognized by the National Green Building Program, Florida Green Building Coalition and Audubon International.
