Gezira Sporting Club 6th October City, Egypt
HCG has been contracted to prepare the master plan for the exclusive new Gezira Sports Club located in 6th October City, an emerging metropolitan area just 20 minutes outside of the city of Cairo. Based on similar program elements at the successful 100-year old Gezira Sports Club on Zamalek Island in Cairo, the new 50-acre recreational facility will house a members-only Social Building, Lido Building, Children's Area, Sports Hall, Tennis Center, and Water Sports Complex, as well as numerous sporting facilities and fields. Two major challenges in this project included the linear nature of the site - 950m X 250m - and the siting of the sports facilities on the north-south axis. The conceptual layout was resolved by creating three main arrival courts surrounded by the major uses on the site. A wide pedestrian walkway serves as a comfortable social connection between the arrival courts. Four meters beneath the complex, a two-lane service drive will accommodate service vehicles and employee traffic.

An environmentally friendly electric train system will allow for easy access and circulation throughout the community. Salerno Creek Retrofit Martin County, FL
This award winning project provides important stormwater storage to the Port Salerno area, as well as enhances water quality through the use of nutrient cleansing aquatic plants within the water channel. A system of trails and boardwalks were designed to allow for public use, enjoyment of the facility and educational opportunities.
